Wow, does that title make your checkbook run for cover. Design Services, oh boy. For many years if someone used an interior designer or decorator for his or her home you were thought to be very wealthy and a little uppity. But no more! The design shows on TV has brought the idea of decorating to us, the not so wealthy. We at Maggie's are here to help you without hearing a Chaching on your checkbook. Of course, we can always go chaching if you like, but most of us want a beautiful, comfortable and affordable home. Our three decorators have tons of experience and can help you with the simplest questions like, "What color do I paint this room?" to "I've thrown everything away and can start over!" (we don't get that one very often). So give us a call and for a $75.00 consultation fee you can have us over and we can help you get started, get finished or somewhere in the middle. After the initial consultation it is $50.00 per hour, which is paid to the decorator. You would be amazed at how much we can accomplish in so little time. There are no retainer fees, no contracts (only if you've thrown everything away). We listen, we understand and we create the room or home you've always wanted.

My design philosophy is quite simple: Establish a close working relationship by taking all of my client's goals and expectations into consideration. This way the final outcome is a beautiful, relaxed environment based on the client's personality and preferences. I have always been the artistic type. Using my imagination and talent I have been able to design beautiful rooms for my clients. My education is a combination of design classes taken at Joliet Junior College Design Program, on-line courses, seminars and continuing my education by staying current in the latest decorating trends. I wil l make recommendations for: space planning, finishes, materials and colors, furniture selection, artwork, lighting, accessories and window treatments. What makes me successful is that I process communication skills, organizational skills and creativity that will help you think "outside the box" when creating your new environment.
Comments from clients:
Dear Linda,
It has been my personal and professional pleasure to be one of your clients.
Working with you, we transformed my home to a place I love, feel comfortable to relax in and also entertain in on a formal basis. Your technical expertise, creativity, innovation, flexibility and concern for me being satisfied are the characteristics that are apparent to all who have the opportunity to work with you.

Linda,
It has been my pleasure over the past two years to know and work closely with you as Chairman of a special community service project call the "Dream Room". As the lead decorator on our project you were very instrumental in the selection of the winner. We wanted a room that offered the opportunity for a dramatic makeover result. You gave us the desired result. This year's project was the Best, this was our third year. Linda you worked on the total scope of the make over from furniture selection to the selection of the color pallet, to the total implementation of the plan. Dream Room is a labor intensive, hands on project that pushed through the night. Your coordination of all aspects of the implementation, including the scheduling of the participating vendors to arrive on time, complete their pieces of the project in time for the next vendor, keeping the total project on target and moving smoothly toward completion. You demonstrate excellent talent and skill in addition to being a tireless worker, team leader and most importantly a strong TEAM member. You fully understand that there is no "I" in team.

Recently I had the privilege of joining the Maggie's Place design team. I enjoy helping people turn their design dreams into reality. Although sometimes the dream can be challenging, I am fortunate to be surrounded by furnishings and accessories that are as unique as the client's that seek them.
Over the last several years I have continued my education by attending The Harrington College of Design in Chicago. I have also attended many design seminars and recently had the opportunity to travel to Atlanta, Georgia to be a merchandise buyer for Maggie's. My services include consulting on all aspects of interior design, including color, space planning, furniture selection, and all materials and finishes for your home. I have experience in project management as well as personal shopping. My experience in home improvement and design industry has allowed me to develop professional relationships with reliable contractors who are qualified to improve nearly every detail of your home. This has given me the opportunity to help my clients in making their home improvement project an enjoyable one.
I look forward to the New Year and to working with all of you to help make your design dreams come true.
